Ms. Kim Fitzgerald has been a Jukido student since August of 2001 and is the longest adult student of the FJJA. Since August of 2001 Ms. Fitzgerald has been a regular, consistent, and loyal member of the dojo and IKA. Although not a regular assistant instructor, Ms. Fitzgerald has assisted at the FJJA charity seminar and is a key assistant to the dojo behind the scenes as it relates to FJJA promotional material, media work, and graphic design.

In 2005 Ms. Fitzgerald was promoted to the rank of probationary shodan after a six part test for black belt in late 2004. In five tests conducted by Sensei Rego she was pushed to her limits. A sixth and final test was conducted jointly by her sensei and Shihan Arel solidified her status and earned her the prestigious Jukido Jujitsu black belt. During the 2005 FJJA Seminar (December 11, 2005) Ms. Fitzgerald was awarded permanent shodan rank.

Ms. Fitzgerald is a regular attendee of the IKA International Seminar as well as the Florida Jukido Seminars conducted by Shihan Arel (up to 2008) and Kaicho Howard. She also attends FJJA private black belt training and all other Kokondo functions.

In the dojo Ms. Fitzgerald is well known and liked for her many qualities. Her witty sense of humor and relaxed demeanor are highlighted traits, as well as her willingness to help. Technically Ms. Fitzgerald is known for hard hitting approach to multiple attackers, her enjoyment of practice and quick self-defense applications, and the practice of tai-sabaki or body shifting.The year 2009 was a big year for Ms. Fitzgerald, as she was promoted to the rank of nidan (second degree black belt) in Jukido Jujitsu and also was recognized by the International Kokondo Association as a internernationally certified instrutor of Jukido Jujitsu.

Outside of Kokondo Ms. Fitzgerald is a well educated and successful business professional. With a masters degree in Graphic Design she is the owner and head of Curley Tail Design – the leading graphical design company in Flagler County Florida. Her company has been voted “Best Around” by the Citizens of the county year after year. Curley Tail Design is a major player behind the quality and effect behind Jukido promotion in Florida.
