Mr. Tony Kim began his Kokondo training in the art of Jukido Jujitsu under the tutelage of Sensei Rego in mid 2001 at the age of eight. Since that time Mr. Kim has been an exceptionally active Jukido student and an example of dedication. Mr. Kim is among the most senior students in the FJJA not only in rank but also in longevity as a member of the dojo. In addition to regular training at his home Palm Coast dojo in the art of Jukido, Mr. Kim is also a regular Florida attendee at the annual International Kokondo Martial Arts Seminar, as well as the annual Florida Kokondo Martial Arts seminar lead by Shihan Paul Arel (founder) and Master Gregory Howard.

In his experience, Mr. Kim has been a key member of the Florida Jukido Jujitsu Academy in assisting in youth instruction and leadership, as well as demonstrations dating back to 2001 promoting the art of Jukido in Palm Coast, Florida. Mr. Kim continues to not only dedicate himself to regular and black belt level training but also assisting in youth classes.

In August 2008 Mr. Kim was promoted to rank of probationary shodan (1st degree black belt) in at the art of Jukido Jujitsu. This significant milestone was achieved at the largest and most important Kokondo event of the year, the International Seminar. His promotion took place after five previous rank evaluations conducted by FJJA Chief Instructor, Sensei Rego. The testing process took approximately six months.

Since his first days, as an eight year old, in the Jukido dojo, Mr. Kim has displayed a disciplined approach to training that motivates those around him. His longevity in the dojo as a non-stop active student is a serious display of commitment and loyalty to not only his training, but to his dojo family.

Around the dojo Mr. Kim is known for his outgoing & warm personality, and sense of humor. His outgoing personality is matched only by his serious work ethic and approach to the Kokondo martial arts.
